where it all began
As a small guppy I knew I was really a mermaid. My mom would create costumes for me, and I would watch the Little Mermaid movie on VHS on repeat (I think I broke the tape I watched it so much). Once I grew into a bigger fish I was performing for the circus as a fire dancer and found out that I was indeed a mermaid and could also harness the power of water. I started to train underwater and found out about the world's largest gathering of mermaids, MerMagicCon. I had to go, I was hooked! |
where it has taken me
Who knew there were mermaids all over the world! I have had opportunities I never imagined and met people with similar passions and interests. One of my favorite memories was diving on the reef in Honduras to take photos inside underwater caves. My hope is that these photos bring attention to what a pristine underwater environment can look like and inspire our youth to protect our oceans for generations to come.

As a Steward of the Seas I knew I had to use my platform to make a difference.
PLATFORMAs Miss Mermaid Rhode Island in the Miss Mermaid USA pageant my platform is to educate and get people involved in the conservation efforts to protect all of our bodies of waters. In 2021 I partnered with Save the Bay - Narragansett Bay and was trained as a Beach Cleanup Captain. Save the Bay organizes cleanups and works with local towns and parks departments to ensure the trash collected is disposed of properly, including sharp objects. They provide necessary materials like pick up sticks, bags, gloves ect to their participants and so much more. This is just a small part of what Save the Bay does. They also advocate for our bay in the government to protect concerns such as waterway access and drainage.

bringing out the inner mermaid
In 2023 I created GLAM-MER which offers an opportunity for others the brilliance of becoming a mermaid with mermaid photoshoots and makeovers. It is a full experience and always start by asking what the person's 'vibe' is. Do you want to be a moody siren exuding confidence and strength? A glamorous mermaid perched on a rock with pearls? or maybe the mother ocean steeped in ancient lore? I love the visions that people have and I absolutely love having the ability to help them turn that into reality. Many times clients will tell me that the feeling lasts long after their photoshoot and that they have truly brought out their inner mermaid.
